• we executed our educational programs, including the creation and distribution of an advocacy tool kit and hosting a community advocacy training day.
• we passed the extreme risk protection order “Red Flag” bill in Massachusetts which allows family members and law enforcement to remove firearms when an individual is in crisis.

We send our love and support to the Newtown, CT community as they remember the horrific shooting that happened 6 years ago today. Since then, over 200,000 lives have been lost due to gun violence in schools, malls, churches, temples and urban neighborhoods.

In Massachusetts, we have the lowest gun deaths in the country because of our strong gun laws. But we can do better and we must do better.
